Narrative
Instead of merely using light for illumination, Giovanni Lorenzo Berninis Sant'Andrea al Quirinale uses light as a key architectural concept. In order to generate a brilliant, almost theatrical focus on the sacred space, Bernini directs natural light toward the high altar through hidden windows in the lantern and dome.

The Baroque objective of arousing emotion and directing the viewer's attention is reinforced by this regulated light, which amplifies movement and drama. The room feels lively, spiritual, and purposefully designed because of the contrast between the bright center and the shadowy side parts.

Because of the movement created by the curved ceiling, light may move across the room and shift throughout the day.

Site Selection

I thought this was the perfect site for the church. First, we can maximize natural light because there are no surrounding structures that may obstruct it. It's also a quiet spot because it's a little distance from the academic areas. Which makes it feel more of a calm area.
